Cool Cats, formerly The Kitten Club, is the official young members club of Cats Protection, the UK’s largest feline welfare organisation. The cost of joining the Cool Cats Club is only £5 per year. Membership offers loads of benefits, including:

• A personalised welcome pack crammed full of surprises! New members can expect to receive the latest edition of the Club’s membership magazine, a welcome letter, a membership card and an attractive wallet full of fun goodies.
• A selection of members will receive a personalised invitation to attend a daytime launch event at a regional Cats Protection Shelter, with plenty of fun activities and giveaways planned!
• Regular invitations to attend fun, cat-related events at regional Cats Protection Shelters.
• A bi-monthly colourful Cool Cats magazine jam packed with all the latest from the feline world! Members’ cat stories and photos, challenging competitions, celebrity interviews and product giveaways will be just some of Cool Cats great features!

Cat Care Badges

Cool Cats members also get the opportunity to work towards the UK’s first junior Cat Care Badge Scheme for young feline lovers keen to demonstrate their knowledge of, and care for, cats. This has 2 levels;

• The Kitten Badge

  This is theory based and is a series of questions on various cat care issues. We want to find out how much you know about cats and how to care for them. All the answers to the questions can be found in our literature or on the Internet. Cool Cats members will submit their work, which will then be evaluated and either passed, or returned to the applicants for them to try again. Once you pass the Kitten Badge you will receive a special badge and certificate and are able to move on to the Cat Badge.

• The Cat Badge

  This is the practical badge and does involve taking responsibility for a cat for a period of time. The Cool Cats member has to submit a diary, which will cover feeding, grooming and behaviour of their cat. Again this will be evaluated and if you pass you will be awarded the Cat Badge and certificate.
• Cool Cats Members will be able to keep all of their work in a special Cat Care Badge folder.

Group Membership

Club group membership scheme is also available to schools, youth clubs, Brownie and Guide packs; in fact any group of young people who are interested in all things feline. There are three membership bands to choose from depending on how many copies of the magazine you would like to receive each issue:
